Research Study Alert: Survey About Stigma and Coping Skills in Adults with SMA

Researchers at Saint Elizabeth University are seeking adults with spinal muscular atrophy (SMA) to participate in a survey about life with SMA. The goal of this survey is to help understand stigma associated with SMA and how affected people cope with the physical and social impacts of the disease.

Participants will be required to complete a 20-minute online survey and/or an optional 60-minute Zoom interview.

To be eligible, individuals must meet the following criteria:

  • Adults 18 y/o or older with a diagnosis of SMA type 1, 2, or 3

Individuals may not be eligible to participate in the following cases:

  • Individuals under age 18 who have not been diagnosed with SMA
